Joshua Berg, MSW, RSW, CSAT-C

I’m Josh, a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist, and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) candidate. I grew up in the Niagara region and eventually found my way back home. Today, I work with clients in person in St. Catharines and offer online therapy across Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.

Much of my work is with men and couples. I work with leaders, creatives, business owners, first responders, Veterans, military members, and everyday guys who want a place to be honest about what’s going on in their lives and relationships.

My work with men often focuses on anxiety, relationships, sexuality, compulsive sexual behaviour, and life transitions. I also work with couples who want to understand the patterns in their relationship better, communicate more openly, and build a deeper sense of closeness and connection.

My approach is welcoming, down-to-earth, and collaborative. Therapy doesn’t need to feel stuffy or overly clinical. While my work is grounded in evidence-based approaches, what matters most is getting to the heart of what’s going on and finding meaningful ways forward.

Faith is also welcome in the therapy room. For individuals and couples who want it to be part of our work, I’m comfortable integrating a Christian perspective. There is never an expectation or agenda around faith; therapy is guided by your own values, beliefs, and goals, and I welcome clients from all backgrounds.

Outside of work, life often looks like travelling with my wife, walking our dog Simon, making a good cup of coffee, having a fire on a cold day, or puttering around our old home.
